IMITATIA (イミテイシア IMITEISHIA) WAS A MEMBER OF THE NEW ORACIÓN SEIS AND WAS KNOWN AS THE MASTER OF MIMETRY AND TRUMPERY.
When first introduced, she claimed to be Michelle Lobster, a distant relative of Lucy Heartfilia and a member of the wealthy Lobster family, but it turned out that she was the animated form of a doll Lucy played with as a child, whose real name was Gonzales.
APPARENCE
Imitatia has a slender figure and is of medium height. She bears a slight resemblance to Lucy Heartfilia (which later helped her convince Lucy of their true relationship), with wavy dark-blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin. Her outfit as Michelle Lobster refers to upper-class women, consisting of a pink dress with white trim and a dark pink ribbon attached to it. The upper part of the dress is a slightly lighter pink, while the part below the waist is a darker pink. A pink cap with white trim is on her head, including a blue bodice on the left side. She is also wearing white stockings and small dark pink shoes.
In keeping with her true form, Imitatia wears a rather naturalistic-looking outfit. Her right eye is covered by a pink eye patch, which glows red when she’s not wearing it. Imitatia wears a short, strapless shirt made entirely of dark-green petals, and she wears long, dark-green gloves that reach her upper arms. Imitatia wears a short, wide skirt made of dark green petals that point to the side, and she also wears pocket boots. Her left arm and both legs are adorned with light-green thorny vines.
In her true doll form, she wears a dress reminiscent of her Michelle form, but with bluish coloring, and blue shoes. Nor is she seen wearing a hat in this form.
PERSONALITY
When disguised as Michelle Lobster, Imitatia comes across as dedicated and passionate, having searched for Lucy for over seven years, to fulfill Jude Heartfilia’s wishes. She is often seen cheerful, smiling sweetly when in the company of others. She also seems inspired by Fairy Tail and its approach to missions; she mentions that it seems like a fun place to be. She also tends to be clumsy at times and easily becomes quite sensitive and fragile, often crying loudly, whether from happiness or sadness. According to Lucy, there’s something about “Michelle” that makes everyone want to protect her. “Michelle” has a sporadic appetite; she is often seen eating food when talking to others. Happy has also noticed that “Michelle” resembles Lucy as they are both noisy. She shows a certain interest in Lucy, not afraid to look at a potentially dangerous mission right in front of her or to act immediately when she sees Lucy in danger.
After her true form is revealed, Imitatia has a very cold, serious and mechanical personality towards her mission as a member of the reborn Oración Seis. She orders Byro to carry out his mission of bringing Lucy Heartfilia back to her. She stuns Lucy with the back of her sword, and spares Natsu’s life when Klodoa wants to get rid of him. But even in her true form, she is still shown to have a gentle side, as she cries when Lucy speaks to her before revealing herself. Moreover, in her true form, Imitatia has an overprotective attitude towards Lucy, whom she still calls “Nee-san” despite having betrayed her. In the end, she reveals that she didn’t mean to hurt Lucy, just to spend time with her like old times. She apologizes and asks Lucy to forgive her in her last words before being turned into a doll. It’s very painful for Lucy and Michelle.
HISTORY
Imitatia was a doll and a birthday present from Lucy’s mother, Layla Heartfilia. Lucy had announced that her gift would be her new little sister; thus, child and doll were always together and Lucy grew fond of the doll, so much so that she even designed outfits and clothes for her “little sister”. However, when Layla died, Lucy gave up on the doll because it brought back painful memories of her mother. Later, Lucy completely forgot about the doll and “Michelle” received an apology from Jude Heartfilia for the sudden rejection of her business. Imitatia was kept in the storage attic at Heartfilia Konzern.
Imitatia remembers Midnight arriving at Heartfilia Manor and taking her in, promising that she could stay by Lucy’s side forever if she joined Oración Seis. She agreed, and Midnight asked her to transform into Michelle Lobster and search everywhere for Lucy Heartfilia. Eventually, Imitatia tracked down Jude Heartfilia and offered her skills and knowledge to help him and work for his new company. Later, Imitatia (still in the form of Michelle Lobster) was present at the time of Jude’s death and it is revealed that he knew her true identity. His final wish was that she should continue to be Lucy’s little sister.
OLD MAGIC AND ABILITIES
Transformation magic (変身魔法 Henshin Mahō): Imitatia has the ability to transform herself into a person and imitate any people, a perfect example being Michelle Lobster.
Plant Magic (植物の魔法 Shokubutsu no Mahō): Imitatia has shown the ability to use Plant Magic in combat, either to attack her enemies directly, or as a means of using her Flower Shield.
Cilice: Imitatia can produce thorny vines that wrap themselves around her targets and attack their vulnerable points, incapacitating them with intense pain.
Specialist swordswoman: Imitatia has proven herself to be an incredibly powerful swordswoman thanks to her agility and capacity for destruction in combat. She wields the sword with a style focused on attacking the vital points of her opponent’s body, maximizing the damage and pain he suffers.
Immunity to pain: In keeping with her nature as a doll and non-living thing, her body feels no pain, which she believes makes it impossible to defeat her in battle.
Indestructibility: In keeping with her immunity to pain, it’s very difficult to cause lasting damage to Imitatia, as she’s able to rebuild her body despite visibly broken bones and muscles, including an injured neck. This gives her an immense advantage over her enemies and allows her to fight on equal terms with the likes of Natsu and Elfman.
