FRIED JUSTIN IS A FAIRY TAIL MAGE AND LEADER OF THE RAIJIN UNIT. AFTER FAIRY TAIL DISSOLVED, HE JOINED THE BLUE PEGASUS GUILD WITH THE OTHER UNIT MEMBERS.
However, after the guild reformed, he left Blue Pegasus to join Fairy Tail with his team.
APPARATUS
Fried is a slim man of medium height with waist-length light-green hair. His bangs are brushed to the side, covering much of his face on the right side, and he also has two thin, lightning bolt-like locks protruding from the back of his head. His hair is gathered at the end and tied into a short ponytail. Fried’s eyes are a greenish-blue, with a mole under his left eye. His eyelashes are equally pronounced. The green Fairy Tail mark is located on the back of his left hand. After the end of the Fairy Tail battle, Fried was briefly shown with his hair cut short, but he soon reverted to his previous appearance.
The most distinctive piece of Fried’s outfit is his long, knee-length double-breasted coat. It has a wide collar and cuffs in a light color with a darker line at the back, and trims adorned with two thin gold lines. The coat has four buttons to close it and can be seen in two different colors for different occasions: red and black. He also wears a pair of belts around his waist, with his sword strapped to his left hip. Under the coat, he wears a simple light-colored shirt with wide cuffs and a slightly high collar, often hidden by other elements of his outfit, including a light tie around his neck. At the S-class mage promotion test, the tie was shown with ruffled edges before returning to its previous appearance. Fried completes his outfit with loose-fitting, light-colored pants tucked into simple boots, each adorned with a line of small buttons on the outside. His clothes, along with his physical features, give him the appearance of an Enlightenment-era French nobleman.
PERSONALITY
Fried is the quietest member of the Raijin unit. While all three members are rarely seen in the guild, Fried prefers to remain emotionally and physically detached from his teammates and what’s going on in the guild. His calm demeanor allows him to appear emotionless, even when his teammates express emotions different from his own. Initially, he regarded Luxus Draer as his only comrade and was prepared to leave Fairy Tail to follow his ideals.
Although he is devoted to Luxus, which puts him at odds with his guildmates, Fried also shows that he cares about the welfare of his former friends and comrades, even before their reconciliation with the guild. He challenged Luxus’s orders to kill his comrades, even though he ultimately decided to follow those orders, even if it would lead him to hell. Despite this, Fried has a caring side and can be emotional at times. His sexuality isn’t explicitly stated, but he has shown homosexual tendencies, such as looking at naked 3D photos of Eave, Hibiki and Ren. He claims to be shy in the presence of scantily-clad women, blushing and becoming unable to fight such opponents. However, he uses this ruse to conceal his deliberate defeat.
Above all, Fried is a man of honor. When he feels indebted to someone, he does everything in his power to repay that debt, even if it goes against his personal interests. He is a firm believer in the rules of his Jutsu Shiki, which he uses in the battle of Fairy Tail to create barriers and enchantments of various kinds. He is prepared to brutally torture those who break his rules and “cheat”, claiming that he will inflict a fate worse than death on them, although this was before his reconciliation with the guild. He would never break his own rules.
