EVER GREEN - Fairy Tail

EVER GREEN (エバーグリーン EBĀGURĪN) IS A MAGE OF THE FAIRY TAIL GUILD AND THE ONLY FEMALE MEMBER OF THE RAIJIN UNIT. AFTER FAIRY TAIL DISSOLVED, SHE JOINED THE BLUE PEGASUS GUILD WITH THE OTHER RAIJIN UNIT MEMBERS.

However, shortly after the guild reformed, she left to join Fairy Tail alongside Luxus and the rest of her team.

APPARATUS

Ever Green has light brown hair, dark brown eyes and visible pink lips. She wears oval glasses and has a very voluptuous figure with very large breasts and shapely hips. When she first appeared, her hair was tied back in a side ponytail and she wore a gray dress (green in the anime) with moving wings on the back. She wears navy-blue stockings and white sandals, and walks around with a purple feathered fan adorned with three hearts. Her guild’s green stamp is on the right side of her bust.

In the Tenrô Island arc, she let her hair grow in a long, curly style, and also dispensed with her makeup. She wore a revealing green dress with a vine-like pattern on it, and ditched her purple high heels during her fight with Rustyrose. She also donned a cloak resembling Luxus’s, but abandoned it before heading to the exams.

When she returned to the guild seven years later, she changed her outfit again. She kept her hairstyle and lack of make-up, but changed her dress to a short gray one slightly ruffled on top. She wore dark flat shoes during the Magic Tournament bow and also started wearing fishnet tights.

PERSONALITY

Ever Green is a woman who loves fairies, and her childhood dream was to become one. She greatly admires their beauty and elegance. When she was first introduced, she came across as a vain, arrogant woman who had no problem turning the people who were supposed to be her guildmates into statues, all for the sake of Luxus. She fought and revealed her long-standing resentment of Erza Scarlet, all because she bore the name Titania and didn’t particularly care for that title.
Ever Green is very fond of Luxus and her teammates, and she seems to like them, just as they like her. She once said they’d been together for “a long time”. After Luxus’ exile, she and her teammates began to open up more and more to the guild, and she’s been seen in the guild hall on numerous occasions. Although she’s quite vain and proud, she’s not without regret, as we saw when she and Elfman were defeated, and she tearfully apologized to him, blaming herself for the whole ordeal.

Her caring side towards others was demonstrated, as when the 8-Island restaurant was attacked and she constantly called for Yajima, and began to cry when she realized she was powerless to save him from his apparent death.

HISTORY

As a child, she dreamed of being a fairy, so she joined Fairy Tail for the name alone, with no interest in the rest. She was lonely and asocial as a child, as her eyes were able to turn others to stone when they looked at them, leading her to wear glasses to mitigate the effect of her stone eyes.

MAGIC AND CAPABILITIES

Stone Eyes (石化眼ストーンアイズ Sutōn Aisu): Ever Green’s Stone Eyes Magic allows her to turn anyone who looks into her eyes into stone. Ever Green has the ability to deactivate the spell placed on her victims, but otherwise, over time, those who have been turned to stone will turn to dust. However, this magic doesn’t work if the intended target isn’t human, and if the victim has an ocular prosthesis like Erza Scarlet, the effect of the magic is halved, allowing the target to free himself from the stone. The magic doesn’t work on people wearing glasses either.
Fairy Magic (妖精魔法 Yōsei Mahō) : Ever Green’s secondary form of Magic that allows him to produce a particular substance from his body, this being a fine, light, luminous dust. Such a substance is placed under Ever Green’s control, and he can manipulate it at will, making it float through the air in wide arcs. Thanks to its use, the user is able to perform a variety of magical attacks. Dust has explosive properties, a relatively small quantity being capable of producing violent explosions at the user’s will. The explosions produced were so powerful that it easily defeated Elfman Strauss, who was then wearing his Beast Soul: Full-Body Take Over. Larger quantities of this dust produced by Ever Green can be shaped into objects of various sizes, usable again for attacking.

Fairy Gremlin Explosion (妖精爆弾グレムリン Yōsei Bakudan: Guremurin) : Ever Green surrounds the target with dust particles, then ignites them to create a powerful explosion. The spell was powerful enough to defeat Elfman while he was in his Beast Soul: Full-Body Take Over.

Fairy Shot: Leprechaun (妖精機銃レブラホーン Yōsei Kijū : Reburahōn): Ever Green waves her arms, releasing a torrent of energy needles made of concentrated dust. She can produce the needles continuously, even during mobility. She can double the speed and number of needles at will if necessary.

Rune magic (術式 Jutsu Shiki): Ever Green is also able to rewrite runes and modify them to her advantage, although it seems her knowledge is only at a basic level.

Enchanting Words: Evergreen rewrites unique letters and inscriptions to create and/or deactivate barrier-like force fields.

Flight: During her battles with Elfman and Erza, Ever Green demonstrated her ability to fly with great agility and speed. She was able to dodge several of Elfman’s assaults, as well as several attacks from S-class mage Erza Scarlet, thanks to a pair of wings that sprout from her back at will.
Enhanced strength: Despite her svelte physique, Ever Green possesses a fair amount of physical strength. She was able to send Elfman Strauss flying through a nearby store in a single blow.
