YAJIMA (ヤジマ YAJIMA) IS A FORMER MEMBER OF THE MAGIC COUNCIL, AND A CLOSE FRIEND OF FAIRY TAIL’S GUILD MASTER, MAKAROV DRAER. HE IS CURRENTLY THE OWNER AND CHEF OF RESTAURANT 8-ISLAND IN HARGEON.
APPARITION
Yajima is an elderly man of small stature, sporting thick light-brown eyebrows and a thin, toothbrush-shaped mustache that reaches halfway to his mouth. After the time jump, it now touches his lower lip. During his time with the Council, he wore a brown shirt with black vertical stripes and a black three-pointed hat. Since retiring from the culinary field, he now dresses as a chef, donning an appropriate outfit and matching toque.
PERSONALITY
Yajima has a very calm temperament. At Council meetings, he prefers to remain silent most of the time, even when he’s aware of a problematic situation. This trait persists in the year X791, where he remains silent about Raven Tail’s cheating, despite being aware of it. Yajima is very supportive of Fairy Tail and continually encourages them. This may be due to his proximity to Makarov or perhaps because of his former guild affiliation.
HISTORY
At one point, Yajima was part of Fairy Tail, joining a team alongside Makarov, Porlyusica, Goldmine, Bob and Rob.
MAGIC AND CAPABILITIES
Telepathy (念話テレパシー Terepashī): Yajima can communicate telepathically with others, without anyone else hearing the conversation except her interlocutor.
Thought projection (思念体 Shinentai) : Yajima is able to create a projection of himself to attend mage trials in the courtroom, without being physically present.
Cooking specialist: Yajima uses magic to cook and satisfy customers at his restaurant, 8-Island.
