10. DESTRUCTION OF THE VEGETA PLANET AND THE SAIYAN RACE
This is perhaps the most destructive and decisive act of Freezer’s career as a villain in Dragon Ball Z. This part links his controversial history with the race of Saiyans. Over time, it became clear that Freezer had not only abused the Saiyans and manipulated people. 🤬
In addition, he recklessly destroyed the planet Vegeta, causing the near-total extinction of the Saiyan population. At one point in history, the return of a dead villain in Dragon Ball was almost predictable, but by the time of the Dragon Ball Z animated series, it was something unheard of and unpredictable, and Freezer really started the trend. The fight between Goku and Freezer is exhausting, and the idea that Freezer could still be alive after all the effort put in by our favorite hero seemed impossible at the time. The fact that Freezer returns mechanically enhanced (in cyborg form) and alongside his father, King Cold, sets the tone for the ruthless nature of this adversary as the ultimate villain. 8. FREEZER VS THE NAMEKIENS
There are many villains in Dragon Ball Z who act brutally and impulsively, but fail to bring their evil plans to fruition. Freezer’s deadly reputation precedes him, but he also seizes every opportunity to exert his cruelty on the innocent and savor his power.
At this point in the story, Freezer is on the planet Namek in search of the Crystal Balls, and is extremely ruthless in his treatment of the planet and its inhabitants. Freezer deliberately torments the population, but he is also responsible for the planet’s destruction, leading to the extinction of the Namekians for a time. 🌍💥
7. DESTRUCTION OF PLANET EARTH
Many consider Freezer’s grand return and the revelation of his golden transformation, known as Golden Freezer, to be an integral part of Dragon Ball Super, but this initially occurs in a Dragon Ball Z movie, so it’s technically still considered an event of this latest Z saga. 6. KRILIN’S DEATH
The battle against Freezer on planet Namek is one of the longest-running confrontations in Dragon Ball Z. Even before Goku battled the villain for dozens of episodes, there were plenty of moments with Freezer’s earlier forms. It’s exciting to see Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan and Krilin do their best against Freezer, but it doesn’t end well for some of them. 😲
Indeed, Freezer kills Krilin, but before he does, he takes pleasure in viciously torturing him while he’s trapped, impaled on his horn. Freezer’s enjoyment of this moment is terrifying, and it’s just as hard to watch him mercilessly beat Gohan, who is only a child at the time. 🧒🏻
5. FREEZER ESCAPES FROM HELL
The characters breathe a collective sigh of relief when Freezer finally seems to have been killed, once and for all, thanks to the intervention of Trunks of the Future. It later turns out that Freezer not only comes back to life, but will become a major ally in protecting the universe. 🪐

3. WHEN HE KILLED VEGETA AND TAKEN AWAY HER FAITH
Freezer enjoys toying with his opponents and holding back in his early appearances in the animated series, but it’s frightening to see how many lives he’s been able to take once he loses patience in battle.
