Synopsis

Asakusa Arch

Shocked by the appearance of a demon killer wearing hanafuda earrings in Asakusa, Muzan Kibutsuji sends two of his disciples after him. Susamaru and Yahaba scour the streets of the bustling city in search of their next target. Yahaba uses his blood demon art to follow the tracks of a demon killer carrying a large box, while Susamaru bounces his temari ball at his side.
Yahaba discovers that the demon killer is accompanied by others. Excited at the prospect of slaughtering them all, Susamaru asks how they are to eliminate them. Yahaba replies that they must, of course, kill them to avenge Lord Kibutsuji, which delights Susamaru. They head for an invisible house hidden behind a false wall.

Susamaru uses his temari to destroy the seal that conceals the building. Having found their enemy, Susamaru and Yahaba decide to kill them all brutally. Using Yahaba’s arrows to guide his husband’s balls, Susamaru demolishes the house piece by piece. His temari rip through the walls, floor and roof of the house. Once an opening large enough to see inside has been created, Susamaru notices the demon killer with hanafuda earrings.

Yahaba reprimands Susamaru for his immature approach and for soiling his kimono with dust. Susamaru ignores him and continues to enjoy himself, simply replying that Yahaba should relax and let loose on the enemy. Yahaba withdraws and uses her arrows to guide Susamaru’s temari towards the enemy. The Temari Demon manages to tear Yushiro’s head off in a single blow.

Susamaru tells the demon-slayer it’s time for him to die and throws a mari ball directly at him. He retaliates by hitting the ball at an angle, impressing Susamaru. Yushiro’s head regenerates and he curses the demon Temari for disturbing his peace with Lady Tamayo. Susamaru pretends he’s babbling and removes his kimono to grow four extra arms. She tells them all that they should be honored to be killed by one of the Twelve Kizuki.

Demon Temari prepares six husband balls and asks her opponents to continue playing until they die. She destroys the house and wounds the two demons. Yushiro gives Tanjiro a way to see Yahaba’s arrows, enabling him to counter the temari effectively. Susamaru returns her bullets and Tanjiro confronts her directly. She tells him that she will certainly bring his head to Lord Kibutsuji. Meanwhile, Tanjiro’s sister Nezuko attacks Yahaba and dispels her arrows.

Without the guidance of Yahaba’s arrows, Susamaru’s bullets become vulnerable to counter-attacks and are cut to pieces by the demon slayer. Tanjiro uses a fluid dance technique and even manages to slice through all the Temari Demon’s arms in one go. He swears to Tamayo that he will extract the blood of demons close to Muzan.

Amused, Susamaru asks Tanjiro what he intends to do with their blood. She refuses to let him displease Lord Kibutsuji and challenges him to face the Twelve Kizuki. She instantly regenerates all six arms and reminds Tanjiro that she will take his head. Yahaba returns to the battlefield and hurls Nezuko at her brother. Susamaru tries to kill them both at the same time, but they manage to avoid him. Tanjiro takes care of Yahaba while the other three fight the Temari Demon.

Yushiro becomes invisible using his blood demon art and brings Susamaru to his knees, asking him to repent for having hurt Lady Tamayo. Yahaba recognizes Tamayo’s name as Tamayo the Fugitive, and Susamaru accepts that she will leave him a good memory. Susamaru counters and slices off Nezuko’s leg before sending her back to the courtyard. She asks if four heads will be enough for Kibutsuji, but Yahaba claims they’ll only take Tanjiro’s and Tamayo’s.

Susamaru bounces six of his bullets, creating a thick smoke screen. Despite the dust, Yushiro manages to escape the temari and tries to approach his enemy. The Temari Demon can spot him moving through the dust despite his invisibility and throws another bullet straight at his head. He’s almost decapitated again, but the healed Nezuko arrives in time to deflect the bullet.

The Temari Demon continues her attack, but this time Nezuko manages to deflect the bullets with her kicks. Annoyed, Susamaru calls Nezuko a brat and provokes her. They throw the temari back and forth at incredible speed, with Nezuko showing that she’s growing stronger by the second. Nezuko even manages to return the ball so quickly and with such force that Susamaru can’t counter it.

Impressed, Susamaru decides to lash out at Nezuko, but Tamayo intervenes. She questions Susamaru about Muzan, calling him a coward for manipulating the demons against each other. Furious, Susamaru tries to defend her master’s honor, but accidentally utters his name out loud. The curse of Kibutsuji then takes hold of Susamaru after she invokes his name, and three demonic arms emerge from her body. These arms completely crush Susamaru’s body, leaving only his eye and a pool of blood. Tamayo notices that her eye is not marked with a number, meaning that she is not one of the Twelve Kizuki.

Tamayo takes a sample of Susamaru’s blood, and Tanjiro hears a faint voice asking for a ball of husband. Tanjiro returns her husband to her and laments how Muzan manipulated Susamaru into believing she was one of the Twelve Kizuki and forcing her to fight to the death. The sun rises and what’s left of her is completely disintegrated.
