Kamanue held the position of Lower Rank 6 among the Twelve Kizuki until he was eliminated by Muzan in his purge of the lower moons. Muzan interpreted Kamanue’s thoughts, which questioned the exclusion of the lower moons due to their weakness, as a disagreement with him.
Kamanue’s appearance
Kamanue was a short young man with incredibly pale skin. His face was marked by a thick dark green line under both eyes and across his nose, extended vertically by another shorter horizontal line across his forehead. He also had four large dots placed at the ends of the line on his cheeks, in the middle of his forehead and under his lower lip. His eyes were catlike, with slit pupils and pale blue irises with a white ring at the sides. The kanji for “Six” was engraved on his right eye. Kamanue had dark brown hair with bright orange tips, combed back but fluffed on either side of his head and neck.
He wore a white haori with a yellow scale pattern on the sleeves, as well as a white button-down shirt and dark hakama pants.
Kamanue’s personality
Kamanue was a forward-thinking individual who constantly displayed an expression of fear, probably due to his own perception of his weakness and inferior position. During his short stay at Infinity Castle, he seemed constantly nervous, revealing an anxious personality.
Synopsis
After all the lower ranks have gathered at Infinity Castle, Muzan appears before them in his female form. He regards them with annoyance and orders them to bow their heads and crouch before him. After they have obeyed, Mukago expresses her regret at having bowed, as she did not recognize Muzan in his current form. Muzan angrily reprimands Mukago for speaking without permission and orders her to be silent, speaking only when directly asked a question. As she is consumed by fear at his feet, Muzan explains the death of Rui, the only member of the Lower Rank who wasn’t present before, and asks the other demons why they are so weak.
Muzan explains that being part of the Twelve Kizuki is not the end, but the beginning of what lies ahead. He declares that their sole purpose is to consume blood in order to be useful to Muzan. Muzan reacts angrily, saying that the lower ranks are constantly being replaced, while the higher ranks haven’t been for a century. Kamanue thinks he can’t just tell them that. Being able to read the thoughts of those with whom he shares blood, Muzan angrily asks Kamanue why he can’t tell them that, then grabs Kamanue by the neck with his tentacles and lifts him into the air. Kamanue tries to apologize, but is quickly devoured by Muzan while the other members of the Lower Rank keep their heads down, shocked and silent.
Kamanue’s abilities and powers
Little is known about Kamanue’s strength and abilities as a demon, but it’s safe to assume that he’s stronger than Kyogai, the former member of the Twelve Kizuki whose place he took. However, he is probably less powerful than Rui, the demon who occupied the rank above Kamanue.
