APPARENCE
Jellal is a young man with blue hair sporting a red tattoo above and below his right eye, which he has worn since childhood.
Under the identity of Jycrain, he wears a simple but elegant dress. His outfit consists of a long white frock coat with black stripes on the edges and upper arms. After being resurrected by Wendy Marvel, Jellal suffers from amnesia and fears the world around him. Although he can’t remember his own identity, he remembers the names Erza and Natsu Dragnir. Jellal initially wished to die, convinced that he remained an experiment, but he has become a better person and wishes to make amends for the terrible acts he committed. Subsequently, Jellal develops a calm and peaceful attitude. Mavis Vermilion even notes that Jellal has the same “heart” as the members of Fairy Tail.
Jellal is calm, mature, intelligent, noble and benevolent. He displays a cheerful side when he sees his friends happy. Celestial body magic: This powerful magic is based on astronomical bodies such as meteors, stars and black holes. Jellal generates and manipulates star energy from his body, using it as a weapon against his enemies. He masters this form of magic perfectly.
Meteor: Jellal is surrounded by a cloak of celestial body magic, which enables him to move through the air at incredible speed. His trajectory is almost impossible to follow, even for those who can detect it. Thanks to his speed, Jellal assaults his opponents with swift but powerful melee attacks. He wears a special suit under his clothes to maximize the effectiveness of this particular spell. During his fight against Jera Nekis, the speed conferred by Meteor stunned Jet, a mage specializing in acceleration magic.
Grande Ourse: In the air, Jellal places his arms one on top of the other, with the index and middle fingers of his upper hand spread wide. He then summons seven magical pillars that connect to form a kind of constellation. Each magical pillar releases a powerful beam of light onto the opponent, creating the same pattern on the ground before exploding. According to Jellal, this spell has a destructive power comparable to that of a real meteor.
Altairis: Jellal crosses his arms over his head to cast this spell. The surrounding shadows are drawn towards him, forming a small black orb that rapidly grows in size before rushing towards the target. This orb is incredibly dense and can generate enormous gravity capable of crushing everything in Jellal’s path.
True Celestial Magic, Stellar Destruction: Jellal bows and points his hands downward, all fingers closed except the index and middle fingers. He then begins to slowly move his right hand upwards, causing the clouds above him to spin in a vortex. At the center of this vortex, a luminous ball forms and grows until it becomes a huge meteor, which falls rapidly onto the intended target. The impact creates a powerful explosion that encompasses a vast area and generates a violent hurricane of air, leaving a large crater behind. This spell was used to defeat all four members of Oracion Seis.
Thought projection: Jellal is able to create a projection of himself through thought, and he excels in this ability. He managed to fool the Magic Council into believing that his projection was an entity separate from himself, earning him a place on the Magic Council and among the Ten Sacred Mages. His projection can even wear an outfit different from Jellal’s.
Dark magic: Following his “possession” by Zeleph, Jellal has become an expert in dark magic. He mainly uses this form of magic in his fight against Erza, summoning ghostly entities characteristic of this magic to attack and immobilize his opponent.
